About Us - Whip Street Motors

Whip Street Motors was founded by Geoff Baker in 1960. In 1962 the business moved to its current location in Great Whip Street, Ipswich.

Expansion in the 60's lead to a second site being established in Paper Mill Lane, Bramford on the outskirts of Ipswich.

Core Business
The core business comprises ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling, vehicle dismantling, vehicle disposal and the sale of new and used car spares. We also offer other forms of waste disposal such as skip hire and waste collection.

The Business Today
Over the last 4 decades the business has maintained steady growth, however despite the expansion Whip Street Motors remains essentially a family run business by brothers, Charlie, Jodhi, Kevin and Greg.
